1. Pretend that you are talking to a blind man and have to describe for him what "red" is. You should use narrative and descriptive writing techniques, and try to appeal to his other senses!

I would tell the man that red is a color for Love. Red is the warmth you feel inside of your, rushing through your veins, beating through you heart. I would tell him that if someone mentions red, they think about love which makes them feel warm and nice inside. Red changes your emotion and feelings. Red is the color that lives.
3. How have you taken something that you have learned in the classroom and integrated it into your nonacademic life?
Something that i have learned in my class room and integrated into my nonacademic life is being able to think differently from others and being able to talk persuasively to others. I try to inform many people about illegal immigration and how it is unfair for people. Some people just Think that it doesn't matter, that why should we care, but others do think about the lives of illegal immigrants. They see how many of them struggle and how laws are being passed trying to keep illegal immigrants away from the U.S. and i think that's not fair. I try to persuade people that illegal immigration isn't threatening at all and that we should help out those people. Illegal Immigrants come to the U.S. for a better opportunity and their trying their best to Live and help their families and i think that people shouldn't be so hostile towards illegal immigrants.
4. If you could go back in time and be someone in history, who would you choose to be? Why?
If I had the chance to go back in time and be someone in history, I would choose to be George Washington. I think it would be awesome to be the first president of the United States of America. I would also choose to be Washington because he was a commander and i would like to have that experience.
5. If you had the responsibility to decide where $1 million should be spent to improve conditions somewhere in the world, what project(s) would you choose? Why?
If I had the responsibility to decide where $1 million should be spent somewhere in  the world, I would choose to improve living conditions for many people and help rebuild natural habitats. I think that it is not fair for people living in poverty. It could, or couldn't have been there decision to live in a bad place, but everyone deserves a second chance. If I were living in poverty, I certainly wouldn't like it so I assume that people living in poverty right now do not like it at all. I would try to help them by giving them money or remodeling their city or doing anything they would like
me to do. Another thing i would spend $1 million dollars
on would be in restoring forests. There has been millions of tree cut down and animals also go down with them. Their habitats are destroyed and animals are forced to leave their land. Also, humans are killing humans! If we continue cutting down trees, in the future there wont be many trees left standing, and then how would we get our oxygen? People have got to stop and think before they act. If I had $1 million, i would try to help out as much i as can.
 7. If you could introduce one new idea or material thing to a primitive culture, what would it be?
If I were able to introduce a new idea into the Mexican culture, I would introduce the idea of having to use bright colored, culture filled clothes every day. I think that clothes says plenty about you and your culture and I think its important to accept your culture and express it to everyone. Also, the Mexican primitive clothes is beautiful and it should be admired by everyone everyday .
8. If you were to describe yourself using a quotation, what would that quotation be? After you have chosen a quote, then write a bit about how it relates to you and reveals what kind of person you are.
A quote that I think could describe me is "I don't care how poor a man is, if he has family, he's rich" quoted by Dan Wilcox and Thad Mumford. This quote relates to me because I believe that family is Every Thing! When you read this quote, you can see how Wilcox and Mumford refer to that if someone doesn't have anything, but they have family, that it is practically everything they need, and that's how I feel towards family. I believe family is very important in someones life. I love my family very much and they motivate me to do good everyday and i feel very strong towards family.
9. Given the authority to establish a holiday, what would you choose to commemorate? Why? What would the celebration look like?
If I had the authority to establish a holiday, I would choose to commemorate every culture that there is in the world. On that specific day, everyone would celebrate in their own manner, the way there culture is. There would be people out in their streets representing their culture, being proud of the culture they were raised in. There would be different colors, music, foods, people, and clothes everywhere you look. You would have to represent who you are and how you and your family celebrate. It would be an amusing day filled with different cultures and parties everywhere you'd walk.

10. What is the best advice you've ever received? Explain.
The best advice that I have ever received is "Never Give Up". This was said to me by my parents and it has motivated me into trying my hardest in school. There have been multiple times that I have wanted to give up but i think about my parents and how much they have helped me and I push past my problem. There have been times when I feel overwhelmed with school work and other problems but I think to myself that if I give up, I would let down my parents and I don't want that, so I push and push and try my best to move away from my problems and try do everything right.

11. Ask and answer the one important question that a university won't ask you, but you wish they would.
An important question I wish universities would ask is "What did you have to go through so you can be here right now ?" I would answer that I have been through many things so I could have the chance to enter a good university. I have passes many sleepless nights studying and finishing my homework so I could thrive in school. I have also become a little excluded from my friends because every time we want to hang out, I would have to pass because I would have to do school work. But also, I have gone through wonderful times. My family is really proud of me and it brings me joy knowing that i have made my family proud. There have been good and bad times through out my journey, but over all I am thankful that I have the opportunity to attend in a marvelous school.
12. Your life is a movie. Describe the first 15 minutes.
It begins in a club. The music is pumping and everyone is having a blast. Then the lights turn off and the music stops. Everyone stops talking and its dead silent. The there's a loud shriek next to me and I feel something warm splat across my face. The lights turn on and my date isn't next to me. I look around and I can see her purse lying on the floor. Everyone stares at me, looking astonished. I look back at the floor and I can see my reflection, my face is covered with blood. I look around, but there's no blood anywhere else. I run out of the club into the snow while everyone stares at me. I run towards my car not being able to believe that its happening all over again. Once I was in my car, I knew that I was going to have to once again, confront the people that had ruined my life in search if my wife...
13. Write a letter to your future college roommate introducing yourself and you background.
Dear future roommate,

14. Please describe your reactions/ideas to the following quote: "He does not possess wealth, it possesses him."
My reaction to this quote is that I believe that in most occasions it is true. I have never known anyone that is wealthy, but through the things that I've seen in movies and the news, the quote is true. From what I have seen, wealthy men become corrupt and would do anything for more and more money. In that case, it seems like his money controls him since they will go through extremes just to obtain more money. I also think that not all wealthy people are like because there are people who give without anything in return. Money does change people in many ways and there are many consequences if you do not use that "power" correctly.
15. What is the most valuable contribution you could make to a college campus? Explain.
I believe that the most valuable contribution someone could make to a college campus is donating money. Schools are losing money day by day which also means valuable teachers are also being lost. Students in college campuses need the teachers to teach them the material, but if teachers are being let loose, then how can others learn. If there were more money, teachers wont be laid off and there would be much more education for others. Donating money to a college campus would help out many students and teachers to be able to be successful.
16. Explain a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.
A significant experience that I am going through is that I am in the I.B. program. I also consider this an achievement because I have never been in an accelerated class or anything like that and when I was informed that I was able to participate in the program my family and I were very proud of my achievement. I also considered this a risk because it is difficult to pass the classes with an A, but if your devoted to it, you can pass the class easily. This has impacted me in a huge way. I now have a greater chance to be able to go to a good university and get the education I need so I can be successful in life.
17. Discuss some issue of personal, local, national, or international concern and its importance to you.
An international issue that concerns me is war. I do not like war at all and some times I do not think it is necessary. I think war is a waste of time and money. Many times, innocent men, women, kids, and babies are murdered. I also believe many times war breaks out, we provoked it which is a big waste of time. All of the money put into war could be used for education and helping those in need. I believe that if the government put the same effort as they put in war into education, our nation would be thriving.
18. If you could choose two things to change about our high school campus, what would they be and why?
I attend Castle Park High School and it is an amazing school with tremendous school spirit. There are truly only two things I would change about my school. First, I would change our gym. Our gym is getting worn down and it is where most of the assemblies and several sport competitions take place. I believe we should have a bigger, more modern, and cleaner gym, so when students from other schools come to a sport competition, they become jealous of our gym. The second thing I would change is our quad area. The quad is another important part of our school because it is were parents and other guest  first arrive when they come to an event at school. There are several broken tables and chairs which belittles the schools reputation. I believe that by making these changes, the students would be more enthusiastic about attending Castle Park High.
19. Should school attendance be mandatory? In your answer, be sure to explore what the function of education is, and what our nation would look like if the masses were less educated.
I do not believe school attendance should be mandatory. School attendance is already mandatory and some students do not go anyways, so why should it be mandatory ? It is true that if school attendance would not be mandatory, many students would not attend, but that just gives more chance for the students who do want a good education to thrive. Education helps young kids become something important in society when they become adults. Our nation would not be as developed as it is right now if many people were less educated, but the people who do want an education, receive the sufficient amount they need because they are devoted to having a great life.
20. If you had the ability to talk to one species of animal, which animal would you choose to communicate with? Why?
If I had the ability to talk to talk to one species of animal, I would choose to talk to a bird. If I had to choose a specific bird, I would pick a guacamaya. Not only because they are beautiful animals, but because they are able to view the world in a different way than how we see it. I would also choose a guacamaya because they live in various jungles, which means they have seen magnificent places and they can tell me about those areas. I also think they will have interesting stories to tell since they are able to fly over different places. I am sure that they have seen human activity throughout their lives. I would asked them what they think and how they feel when they see some people living in poverty while others live in riches and don't contribute to help those in need. I would captivate all of the birds thoughts and try to comprehend with its point of view and ideas.
